Amnesty International submits this document ahead of the adoption of the List of issues prior to reporting (LOIPR) by the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women in October 2025. It focuses on human rights abuses linked to women accused of witchcraft, based on Amnesty International’s research on the issue in 2023 and 2024. The result of this research was published in 2025 in the report: Branded for Life: How Witchcraft Accusations Lead to Human Rights Violations of Hundreds of Women in North Ghana.
