Chad: Legal analysis of the Chadian Ordinance on the right to freedom of association: The use of national legislation to impose unlawful restrictions on the right to freedom of associations

In the wake of the Fourth Republic of Chad and after President Idriss Deby Itno promulgated a new Constitution in May 2018, Chadian authorities have amended a number of laws including the Ordinance no.023/PR/2018 of 27 June 2018, that regulates associations.
