Amnesty International is publishing this report to highlight human rights violations associated with the Burundi Government’s regroupment policy and to demand its immediate reversal. The Government should halt its policy of forcing and confining people to regroupment camps, prevent the setting up of any new camps and allow those within existing camps to return home if they wish to do so, while taking measures to ensure the safety of those who choose to return.
