Africa: Oral statement on the human rights situation in Africa at the 65th Ordinary Session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights

This oral statement, delivered at the 65th ordinary session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights highlights the introduction of Amnesty International’s new annual report on the state of African regional human rights bodies and mechanisms. This report is intended to serve as an annual review of the state and performance of the three regional human rights bodies in Africa. Amnesty International stands ready to partner and work with the African Commission to implement recommendations contained in the report.
