A team of “Digital Disruptors” supported by Amnesty South Africa have been supported to counter gender-based violence (GBV) in two townships in South Africa. To increase gender equality and empower women and girls, they worked to change attitudes and educate people on GBV, carried out advocacy to improve support to survivors of GBV, and created a GBV installation at a GBV hotspot, reclaiming the space and disrupting GBV trends.
