Morocco: Medical concern: continuing hunger-strike
Two students, Hassan Aharrat and Noureddine Jouhari, remain on hunger- strike more than five years after first refusing food. According to reports, they are being kept incommunicado in separate basement rooms in Averroes Hospital, Casablanca, in degrading conditions. This paper also reports on the condition of four other prisoners who started hunger-strikes in 1989 and finished them in early 1990. They are: Moulay Tahar Douradi, Hassan Alami Bouti, Abdelfattah Boukourou and Benabdessalem Abdelilah.
