Morocco/Western Sahara: Addendum to "Turning the page": achievements and obstacles
This document is an addendum to MDE 29/01/99, acknowledging and summarizing a document sent by the Conseil consultatif des droits de l'homme and another by Morocco's Human Rights Ministry in response to the original report. These documents deal with the issue of "disappearance", with human rights developments in Western Sahara and with achievements and remaining concerns on other issues. These include prisoners of conscience and legal concerns; torture and deaths in custody; the death penalty and th outlook on reform proposals.
