By Amnesty International, , Index number: MDE 28/009/1993

Mohieddine Derouiche, a former Imam and a member of the banned Islamic Salvation Front (FIS), and his brothers Ali and Tahar, were arrested on 19 July. A fourth brother, Ahmed Derouiche, was arrested on 27 July. Mohamed Yassine Simozrag, the 22-year-old son of a lawyer active in political cases, was arrested on 23 July. All are held in prolonged incommunicado detention, and there is grave concern that they may be at risk of torture or ill-treatment.
