Amnesty International is concerned at reports that the health of ‘Abd al-Majid Nimer Zaghmout, a Palestinian national who has now been detained in Syria for 33 years following an unfair trial, has continued to seriously deteriorate since October 1998. Amnesty International is urging the Syrian authorities to immediately release him into the care of his family.
