Syria: Further information on: Prisoners of conscience/fear of torture
On 6 March, students Muhannad al-Dabas and Muhammad 'Arab were sentenced to three years' imprisonment by the Supreme State Security Court (SSSC). Amnesty International considers them to be prisoners of conscience, imprisoned solely for their peaceful exercise of the right to freedom of expression and association.
