Palestinian Authority: Fear of torture and ill-treatment / Incommunicado detention / Legal concern
Amnesty International is concerned for the safety of about 30 students and one staff member from Birzeit University in the West Bank who are being held incommunicado. This follows mass arrests which took place after violent demonstrations broke out at the university on 26 February 2000.
