Iran: Further information on prisoners of conscience/fear of torture or ill-treatment

Two trade unionists and a journalist arrested for attending a peaceful event marking International Workers’ Day on 1 May were released on bail on the evening of 15 June 2009. Jafar Azim Zadeh and Said Youzi, the other two trade unionists arrested for attending the same event, are still in prison and have been reportedly moved to a general section of Evin prison. It is not known whether they have been brought before a court.
