Maskhud Abdullaev and Akhmed Azimov were forcibly retuned to Moscow on 19 June 2009. They were detained by men in plain clothes on arrival in Moscow and taken to separate rooms for questioning. Maskhud Abdullaev has not been seen since, and his whereabouts are unknown. Akhmed Azimov was released after a few hours. Four other Russians named in this action had been deported to Moscow on 18 June. They were questioned upon arrival in Moscow and released.
