Egypt: Death penalty
Hanan Sabir Mansur (f) aged 27, and her male friend Farag Milad Riyad, aged 31, have been sentenced to death for murdering her mother. Their death sentences have been submitted to the religious authorities for approval, and must then be ratified by the President.
