Philip Rizk was released uncharged on 11 February 2009 at 2am after having spent four days in incommunicado detention in the custody of State Security Investigation (SSI) services. During this period, Philip Rizk was kept in an undisclosed location, believed to be the SSI headquarters in Nasr City, north-east of Cairo.
