Ali Anmar was imprisoned for 4 and a half years after being arrested at his village in Lebannon and transfered illegally to Israel where he was tortured. Since completing his sentence he has been held in administrative detention. Israel has acknowledged that it is holding him and 21 other Lebanese detainees as hostages to obtain information about Israeli servicemen who have gone missing in action in Lebannon.
