International Criminal Court: Recommendations to the Eleventh Session of the Assembly of States Parties

Fourteen years after the adoption of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, more than 60% of states have ratified it. This year, the Assembly of States Parties of the International Criminal Court (Assembly) marks the tenth anniversary of the Court. Although much has been achieved in this time, the Court is facing many challenges that require the Assembly’s consideration and support to address. In this paper, Amnesty International sets out a series of recommendations in relation to these issues for the Assembly’s consideration.
