Belarus: Stop the silencing of human rights defenders
Though Belarus is a party to most of the international human rights treaties and human rights and fundamental freedoms are guaranteed in the country's constitution, there is an inordinate gap exists between these rights in theory and their implementation in practice. This web action rallies public support for Belarus' human rights defenders. It also urges the Belarusian authorities to ensure that individuals and groups are free to promote and defend human rights.
