In this report Amnesty International reminds the government of the Russian Federation about its obligation to respect and protect individuals who seek to monitor, investigate or seek redress for human rights abuses and calls on the European Union and its Member States to take action to support and defend those, who defend the victims of human rights abuses in the Chechen Republic and the North Caucasus.
