Turkey: Human rights and the health professionals

Human rights continue to be flagrantly disregarded in Turkey. Torture, disappearances, extrajudicial executions are all of concern to Amnesty International. In this report examples of doctors who have been detained, tortured and/or prosecuted are given as illustrations of the pressures put on doctors to write reports which are acceptable to the police but are not necessarily accurate.
