On 26 January 1995, Turabi Kisin was shown on Star Television in Turkey behind a table with weapons on it and presented as a member of the PKK. He is said to have looked “very exhausted”. On 27 January he was formally arrested and committed to Sagmalcilar Prison. Relatives report that he was subjected to all the usual methods of torture and is, as a result, in poor health.
