Germany: Submission to the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance on Germany
Amnesty International is submitting this information to the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI). Germany has requested that ECRI evaluate the situation experienced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender and intersex (LGBTI) individuals in Germany. The organization believes that ECRI has a crucial role to play in combating discrimination against LGBTI people in Europe. Some information pertaining to discrimination against transgender and intersex individuals in Germany is therefore included in this submission.
