Amnesty International joins with 24 other civil society groups and organizations calling for the immediate and unconditional release of human rights lawyer Nguyen Van Dai and his colleague Le Thu Ha. Both were arrested on 16 December 2015 and are charged under Article 88 of Viet Nam’s Penal Code with “conducting propaganda” against the state. If tried and convicted, they could face up to 20 years’ imprisonment.
