This document contains a statement issued on 10 July 1995 by the International Secretariat of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) setting out its observations on AI’s concerns about the killing of 42 Sinhalese villagers at Kallarawa, Trincomalee District in late May 1995 and AI’s response of 8 September 1995. AI is making these letters public to inform its members on the reactions of the LTTE to its appeals for strict adherence to international human rights and humanitarian law.
