Sri Lanka: Time for a new start: An appeal to Sri Lanka’s presidential candidates
In this document Amnesty International urges Sri Lanka’s Presidential candidates to commit publicly to fulfilling Sri Lanka’s international human rights obligations and to setting – and meeting - benchmarks on good governance, rule of law and respect for human rights. As a first important step the organization calls on all candidates to commit to the 10-point human rights agenda outlined in the document.
