Angel Mou Puipeng’s appeal against her death sentence was rejected by Singapore’s Court of Criminal Appeal in the week preceding 17 July 1994. Her only hope for clemency lies with the President. She was arrested on 29 August 1991 in possession of heroin and her initial trial took place in March/April 1993. Angel Mou Puipeng is a Portugese national born in Macau, she is aged 25. The man responsible for her recruitment as a drug courier was imprisoned for four years in Hong Kong.
