In Papua New Guinea, sex workers are beaten, raped, unlawfully detained and killed without recourse to justice. In a country where violence against women is high, sex workers face extreme levels of violence because of the stigmatization of sex work and because they defy social and cultural norms. This document summarises the Amnesty International report which includes recommendations aimed at ending violence and discrimination against sex workers.
