This letter voices Amnesty International’s concerns at the killing of Yousuf Ali, a prisoner sentenced to death for blasphemy, in Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore by another prisoner on 11 June 2002. it gives details of his trial and subsequent murder which AI believes could not have been carried out without at least the tacit approval of prison staff.
