Amnesty International is concerned for the safety of British national Akdas Iqbal and Dutch national Sujeel Shahid. They “disappeared” on 14 June, having been detained by an unidentified state agency. Both are students at Lahore University and may have been held as part of a wave of arrests of foreign and Pakistani nationals suspected of being linked with al-Qa’ida.
