Republic of Korea (South Korea): The death penalty: open letter to the Minister of Justice
This is the text of a letter from the Secretary General of AI to the Minister of Justice of the Republic of South Korea, dated 25 January 1995. It expresses AI's concern about the continued use of the death penalty in South Korea and urges the South Korean Government to join the growing number of countries throughout the world which have abolished the death penalty.
