Kingdom of Cambodia: Demonstrations crushed with excessive use of force
Recent peaceful demonstrations following elections in Cambodia have been met with excessive use of force leading to the death of several people. Among the victims are monks and young people. Amnesty International also condemns the racist killing of five ethnic Vietnamese people by angry mobs and expresses concern at the inflammatory speeches of some opposition politicians that may have contributed to the killings.
