Indonesia: Further information on possible "disappearance" / fear of torture or ill-treatment
Amnesty International has learnt that Izwar Puteh, who was arrested on 17 July 1999, was released from military custody on 22 July. He is believed to have been ill-treated in custody. Ayub Hasan is in military custody, and has reportedly been ill-treated. It is thought that he has not yet had access to human rights lawyers.
