Indonesia: Further Information on Imminent Execution
Rio Alek Bulo was executed by firing squad on Friday 8 August 2008. He was convicted in 2001 of murdering four people and whilst awaiting execution was convicted of killing a fellow inmate. The Indonesian Supreme Court turned down his final appeal for a case review in April this year. The three others mentioned in the Urgent Action (Tubagus Maulana Yusuf, Nyonya Sumiarsih and Sugeng, her son) were executed on the 18 and 19 of July.
