India: Fear of torture and other ill-treatment
On 11 July 2008, the four indigenous land rights activists named in this action left Keonjhar District and fled to Orissa after they heard that Keonjhar police intended to question them for having alleged links with armed Maoist groups. The four activists fear they will face torture and other ill-treatment in police custody.
