China: Open letter calling for the lifting of all arbitrary restrictions on Liu Xia
Nicholas Bequelin, Amnesty International’s Regional Director for East Asia, wrote to the President of China to draw attention to Amnesty International’s petition to end the illegal house arrest and surveillance of Liu Xia, stop the harassment, and allow her to travel freely. A total of 69,850 signatures have been collected through global online platform and national Sections. Liu Xia has returned to Beijing but is still under tight surveillance.
