People's Republic of China: Christians arrested during Easter and others serving sentences
Over 20 Roman Catholics and Protestants are reported to be in detention in China after a large number of arrests during Easter celebrations in April 1995. AI is concerned that they are prisoners of conscience, who should be released immediately and unconditionally. This paper gives details of those in detention in Jiangxi, Hebei, Shanxi and Qinghai provinces.
