People's Republic of China: Appeal for Li Qingxi and Zhao Changqing
Li Qingxi, an unemployed worker from Shanxi Province, and Zhao Changqing, a factory worker in Shaanxi Province, have both been detained following their attempts to organize labour and campaign for independent trade unions. AI appeals for the immediate and unconditional release of Li Qingzi and Zhao Changqing, unless they are charged with criminal offences in accordance with international standards.
