Bangladesh: Deteriorating human rights situation: Amnesty international submission for the UN Universal Periodic Review, 30th session of the UPR Working group, May 2018

In this submission Amnesty International expresses concern about extensive restrictions on the right to freedom of expression and attacks on activists, bloggers and journalists. The organization also sets out mounting concerns about an increasing number of enforced disappearances of supporters of opposition parties, discrimination and violence against indigenous peoples in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, the treatment of Rohingya refugees arriving from Myanmar, and discrimination against LGBTI persons.
