Afghanistan: Detentions and killing of political personalities
Taleban authorities have arrested up to 200 Afghan personalities over the past year, apparantly on acount of their peaceful opposition to the contuinued war in the country. This docment gives details of the cases of some of those detained and those who have died in custody. It also looks at the issues of children held hostage in place of their fathers and the failure of the Pakistan Government to protect a number of Afghan personalities killed in their country in the last few years.
