USA: Open Letter to Assistant Attorney General of Oklahoma regarding the execution of Cornel Cooks
This is an open letter sent to William Humes, Assistant Attorney General of Oklahoma, after the execution of Cornel Cooks on 2 December 1999. Amnesty International expresses concern at comments made by Humes to the Pardon and Partole Board during Cook's clemency hearing on 16 November 1999. The organization is also concerned about the antagonism displayed by Humes towards Amnesty International's support for clemency this case.
