USA: Crying out for clemency: The case of Alexander Williams, mentally ill child offender facing execution

This document looks at the case of Alexander Williams, sentenced to death for a murder committed when he was sixteen years old. The report provides background to Williams trial which was marked by an inadequate defence, who failed to bring Williams mental illness and harsh upbringing to the attention of the jury.
