Maurice Andrews, black, is scheduled to be executed in Texas on 9 March 1995. He was sentenced to death for murder in 1982. School and prison records indicated that he is “mentally defective” and had a difficult family background. He was tried before an all-white jury after all potential black jurors were removed during jury selection.
