Ecuador: Arbitrary detention of transvestites
This document provides details of the cases of nine transvestite sex workers who were detained by police and forced to undergo HIV tests. Amnesty International believes they were detained solely because they are transvestites and that during the time they were detained they became prisoners of conscience.
