Ecuador: Continued torture and ill-treatment of LGBT people
This report details Amnesty International's concerns regarding the homophobic harassment, torture, ill-treatment and attempted extrajudicial execution by police officers of LGBT people in Ecuador since October 2000. The report includes cases of torture of transvestites and intimidation and death threats by police officers. It also includes details of the response of the authorities to these abuses.
