Cuba: Short term detention and harassment of dissidents
This report documents AI's concerns relating to the punitive measures used by the Government to stifle dissent. These measures include the increasing use of short term detention, eviction, various restrictions on movement, threats, summonses, the loss of employment, house searches, house arrest and acts of verbal and physical abuse from government supporters. The report gives examples of dissidents who have suffered such incidents of harassment.
