Brazil: Submission to the UN Universal Periodic Review: First session of the UPR Working Group, 7-11 April 2008

In this submission, Amnesty International raises concern over shortcomings in the creation and implementation of human rights related legislation, including in relation to the ICC and measures to address impunity. The organization also describes concerns related to systemic human rights violations under the public security system, and concerns related to access to land issues and working conditions in the agricultural sector. Amnesty International makes a number of recommendations in the areas of concerns listed.
