Amnesty International is concerned for the safety of sisters Alvina and Cláudia Araújo de Oliveira, whose brother Jessé Correia de Oliveira Filho was killed on 9 July 1999 in Recife, Pernambuco state. Amnesty International believes that he was killed because he had made an official complaint against a number of civil policemen.
