Zimbabwe: Power and hunger - violations of the right to food
In this report Amnesty International is urging the Zimbabwe government to take immediate action to address the current food shortages, and discrimination and corruption within the GMB distribution system. The report calls for the government to take action to mitigate the negative impacts on human rights, which have resulted from the way in which the land reform programme was implemented, with particular emphasis on the need to urgently address the situation of farm workers and other vulnerable groups. The organization also makes a number of recommendations to the international community.
