Nigeria: Further information on medical letter writing action: Dr. Beko Ransome-Kuti
Dr. Beko Ransome-Kuti, who was serving a 15-year-sentence since 27 June 1995, was released on 16 June 1998. The Nigerian authorities said that he was freed because of his ill-health.
