Ethiopia: Further information fear of ill-treatment / arbitrary detention / possible prisoners of conscience and arbitrary deportation

Hundreds of Eritreans, including Gebre-Hiwot Tesfa-Mariam, Solomon Gebre-Yohannes, Tedros Habte-Yohannes, 20 civilian staff of the Eritrean embassy (including Berri Mebratu, (f), Rosina Fessahaye (f) and Adiam Gubsa), Yusuf Alemayeh, Fisseha Berhane, Mekonnen Gebre-Amlak, Ethiopia Gebre-Michael (f), Mehret-Ab Gebre-Michael, Tewelde Habte-Mariam, Zakarios Habtom, Bisu-Amlak Haddish, Teame Hagos, Tekle Mezengeh, Asmalesh Tekle, Wolde-Michael Tekle, Arefayne Tekle-Haimanot, Binyam Welday, Zewdi Ande-Berhan (f), Solomon Bahlibi, Zerai Beyene, Yohannes Gebre-Mariam, Kidane Gebre-Negus, Tekle-Giorgis Haile, Yohannes Kifle-Mariam, Getahun Seyoum, Nigisti Abraha (f), Kalib Tedla, Rahwa Tedla (f), Yahdega Tesfaye (f) and Bereket Zerai have been arrested or deported by the Ethiopian authorities. Many are being held incommunicado and their have been some allegations of ill-treatment.
